Real People DENIED Real Healthcare: David Welch, RN

November 24th, 2009

SACRAMENTO, CA–David Welch is an RN and a patient who was denied health insurance because of minor skin cancer on his nose. This story, of an upper middle class white male nurse, shows how virtually anyone can be denied healthcare, and further illustrates the need for a universal healthcare system such as AB 840 in California and HR 676 nationally. I am a California attorney. I am going to file a lawsuit against Medicare, to open it up to everybody. I need 1000 plaintiffs, please respond to my youtube page if you are willing to be a named plaintiff and also apply for Medicare, and if you are under 65.

Its situational application of the law, we pay for bogus insurance - Corporate crooks get rich, Progressive utilizes dumb caricature to sell worthless insurance policies. There is nothing funny about death and mangled bodies. Progressive is nothing more than a Ponzi Scheme in which Corporate Executives such as Glen Renwick get rich and leave injured policy holders bogus insurance policies which are not worth the paper they are written on. David’s story is important b/c as he says, if this can happen to a nurse who is sophisticated in regards to navigating the health care system, what happens to those who aren’t?? This has to be FIXED NOW!

His heart had to GROW three times its size. And, Christmas did come to pass, despite the Grinch’s well laid plans to keep it at bay.

This election will see the passage of a national healthcare plan; I feel certain of it.

Health insurance is essential to being a productive member of society. It’s as basic as clean water.

Those that DON’T think OTHERS should have what THEY personally have….will not win out this time. There are more of us than you!

Until we walk our talk in our own country, we should not go overseas.

As for lorax2013…The GRINCH did NOT win out in Who-ville. His heart 3x’s its size.

The term ‘real people’ is stupid and meaningless. Nevertheless, I agree with the concept of the video

Ca’nt afford it then die you commies , the healthcare system is just fine here in the United States Of America !

Why should my tax dollars pay for your kids health , your kids can die for all i care .

Why stop with universal healthcare for only Americans? Sounds a little selfish to me. If you really care about helping people, send the tax money to Africa and help 100 times more people. But in reality, this arguement of “helping the poor” is really a mask for “steal from the rich” and give ME free healthcare.

Go to London, the banking and insurance industries dictate it all. And, the money made in pharma . . . I just called about a home equity loan and to my surprise with all of the FED RESERVE lowering of interst rates have found out it is a SCAM. Interest rates are higher than ever before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

David: I remember reading your story in “Registered Nurse” a while ago. Your case is another example of how perverted our health care system has become because of the insurance industry.

I hope you do get to fulfill your desire to cut back on working and pursue other interests. Kudos to you and the CNA for bringing this issue to the forefront.

Many thanks, from a fellow nurse.

dane3026.defamation or libel or whatever.I beg of you not to twist my words.I pray and wish cancer on you or a long long long illness, but never didn’t I mention for you to be dead, even though I think you deserve more than that.If there’s really hell, you already have caved yourself a nice hot place in it.Once again,I wish cancer on you ,not death.

Garoumec, defamation is a verbal statement. Libel is written. My statement was written. So I definitely was NOT ‘defaming’ you. Besides, I was characterizing your COMMENTS (not you) and how YOUR comments EXEMPLIFY your character.

    Dear Sir/Madam,
After working hard for over 25 years and built a decent life for my self and my family, because of and due to the last 10 years of persistent epileptic seizures, I lost my wife, my home, my job, my car and my driving license to become destitute homeless.
I’ve been told by Stanford University, I need brain surgery to cure my seizures but I don’t have health insurance. Can you please help,
    Thank you,
    Regards,
    Gerrie

dane3026.I really don’t appreciate you defaming me.I am not malicious or irrelevant.I am not asking and begging god to kill you. I just pray and wish he send a long and incurable cancer on you because you are a rich, strong man with the best healthcare insurance,so you can take care of yourself.I wish cancer on you again.

dalegambill, freeing employers from health care costs makes sense. Allowing workers to change jobs without changing insurance makes sense too (and would work well with the first point.) Providing health care as an entitlement to every American, as a means of implementing the first two points, carries with it a host of other serious problems to which I am opposed.

I hope, wish and pray you got cancer.I think cancer is too sweet of a disease for someone so strong like like you.
